Ministry of Agriculture: additional help for pig farmers
Additional resources, advance payments and a new loan scheme will also help pig farmers. To compensate for the combined increase in feed prices, restrictions caused by animal diseases and the combined market effect of the coronavirus pandemic, the Ministry of Agriculture (AM) has decided to introduce several measures to support the pig sector, Feldman Zsolt said in a statement.
According to the information of the Secretary of State for Agriculture and Rural Development, the Ministry will provide a total of 4 billion HUF additional resources for pig farmers at the end of the year, so this year a record amount of 20.8 billion HUF in animal welfare support will help the sector.
