Ministry of Agriculture Agreement reached on CAP reform in Luxembourg
At the Agriculture and Fisheries Council on 28 June, agriculture ministers agreed on the main policy elements of the CAP reform. Since the collapse of the negotiations at the end of May, serious diplomatic talks have taken place in the background in order for the Council of Ministers to persuade the European Parliament to withdraw its proposals that make it impossible to manage. From a Hungarian point of view, we are past very difficult and struggling negotiations, our energy was consumed by defending the contents of the October Council position, said the Minister of Agriculture Nagy István, who is leading the Hungarian delegation.
