The Ministry of Agriculture focuses on biodiversity
May 22 is World Biodiversity Day. On this occasion, attention is drawn to the conservation of biodiversity and threats to biodiversity worldwide. Habitat reconstruction has taken place on more than 100,000 hectares in Hungary in recent years, which has greatly contributed to the increase and conservation of biodiversity – the Ministry of Agriculture (AM) told MTI on Friday.
In European comparison, Hungary has outstanding natural values, and the country’s diverse ecological endowments are favorable for biodiversity. Preserving this is a common task and responsibility of all of us, the ministry said in a statement. (MTI)
