Ministry of Agriculture: the summer harvest began sooner
Harvesting has also started nationwide, and the extremely warm weather requires special attention from farmers, said Minister of Agriculture Nagy István in his statement.

Heat ripens grain sooner
The head of the ministry pointed out that the harvest of cereals started earlier this year because the grain ripens faster due to the heat. This year’s crop prospects for crop production are being severely affected by the drought, which is hitting the Great Plain hardest. (MTI)
