In order to achieve this goal, they are planning to invest 500 million dollars, president of the company Peter Brabeck-Lemathe has announced on Saturday, within the compass of one of the conferences for the peakmeeting of agrarian ministers.
“Our company is working in strong co-operation with more than 680 thousand peasants all over the world, in order to find the highest quality plant-based ingredients to produce the best coffee possible. Besides, we are offering education about the greatest solutions of water conservation”, the expert pointed out.
Water is one of the areas Nestlé is focusing its Creating Shared Value (CSV) efforts and investments on. Along with nutrition and rural development, all three areas are core to the company’s business activities.
