Minister of Agriculture: the spice paprika industry receives more than 500 million HUF support
Immediate action is needed to preserve the paprika sowing area, so the sector will receive more than 500 million HUF this year – Nagy István, Minister of Agriculture stressed in Kalocsa on Tuesday after consultation with local spice paprika producers.
At the press conference held at the Kalocsai Fűszerpaprika Zrt., the minister of agriculture emphasized that spice paprika producers have identified many problems with the volume of foreign imports, their low price level, the changed consumer habits and with the black trade, as well as with climate change and the difficulties of irrigation.
