Minister of Agriculture: irrigation is a public interest
By significantly increasing rural development resources, we encourage farmers to implement technological developments that allow them to adapt flexibly to the challenges caused by insufficient rainfall, Minister of Agriculture Nagy István said in Siófok.
According to a statement from the Ministry of Agriculture (AM) on Thursday, the head of the ministry drew attention to the fact that production based on natural rainfall yields now carries an increased risk for some crops. Intensive agricultural production is thus virtually unthinkable without irrigation. (MTI)
