Agricultural Marketing Center: Hungarian food manufacturers presented their products in Albania and Montenegro
Eleven Hungarian food manufacturing companies presented their products in Montenegro and Albania at business forums organized by the Hungarian Food Business Program, the export development branch of the Agricultural Marketing Center (AMC), last week, AMC told MTI on Monday.
At the business meetings held between March 17 and 20, organized jointly with the local embassies, Hungarian food manufacturers received information about the possibilities of entering the markets of the two Balkan countries, the legal and tax regulations, the characteristics of the local food economy, and held negotiations with local buyers.
At the two-day forum in Podgorica, Hungarian companies offered, among other things, biscuits, honey, cheese and dairy products, baked goods, gins made in Hungary, free products and egg substitutes to interested buyers.
At the Tirana business meeting, eleven Hungarian companies also offered their products to about fifty Albanian buyers, including health-conscious products, flour and seed mixes, biscuits, dried goods, gin and vodka produced in Hungary – they wrote.
The Hungarian companies participating in the forum were greeted by the Hungarian ambassador accredited to the two countries. Gergely Giczi, Deputy Managing Director of AMC, and Managing Director Péter Ondré also spoke before the business forums.
The organization held similar business forums in Bucharest, Belgrade, Sofia and Skopje in the fall of 2024.
