Based on a comparison of wholesale prices, domestically grown head cabbage could be bought 9 percent cheaper than a year ago, and most potato varieties had to be paid 5-10 percent less. Lettuce and parsley cost as much as in the same period of 2023, while the price increase of brown-skinned red onions, kale, carrots, and pumpkins did not exceed 10 percent. To a greater extent, green onions, dry white beans, black radishes, and sweet peppers for stuffing have become more expensive based on the most common market prices of domestic crops, they said.
