Chamber of Agriculture: concerns about pesticides are exaggerated
The rules for the authorization and use of herbal medicines and plant protection products used in plant production have been constantly tightened by the European Union for years, without which the union has already the strictest authorization system in the world. In recent years, however, this tightening has in many cases been based not on professional but on economic and political interests, to instill consumer fear, which has led to many unfair attacks on farmers, the chamber emphasizes. This process could lead to an increasing number of imported products appearing on the market to consumers from third countries where production rules are much loose. (MTI)
