Chamber of Agriculture: the farmers would expand the size of the irrigable area to fivefold
Instead of the current 80,000 hectares, the farmers would irrigate on 377,000 hectares in the future – according to the results of the irrigation water demand survey of the National Chamber of Agriculture (NAK).
According to the announcement of NAK sent to MTI on Wednesday, the village economists visited about 40,000 farmers between 1 December last year and 31 January this year and measured nearly 1 million 150,000 hectares of land. (MTI)
