Agricultural Chamber: a high demand occured towards quality Hungarian mushrooms abroad
There is a high demand for quality Hungarian mushrooms abroad, which would double the current production on the export market, but serious technological developments are needed – the National Agricultural Chamber (NAK) told MTI.
According to their information, mushroom production in Hungary increased from 18,000 tons to more than 30,000 tons since 2008; 90 percent of the mushrooms produced are champignons. Nearly 60 percent of the production volume is exported. (MTI)
