Agricultural Chamber: wheat production is less than last year, but it will be enough
This year, 5 million tons less winter wheat was taken into the granaries, but it will still be sufficient for domestic supplies and around 2.3 million tons can be exported as well – the press officer of the National Agricultural Chamber (NAK) told M1 news channel on Monday.
Süle Katalin said that the quality of the wheat varies from one area to another, but overall it is very good. In the western part of the country there was an area where 60-75 percent of wheat was of mill quality, but in the Great Plain regions, wheat has become only feed quality, due to the drought. (MTI)
