Chamber of Agriculture: 200-500 tons of sweet chestnut trees annually
Chestnuts will be available this week on the market, of which 200-500 tons have been produced in Hungary over the last few years – the National Agricultural Chamber (NAK) told MTI.
According to the announcement, in Hungary, the area of sweet chestnut plantations is only 215.5 hectares based on the area of single area payments. The small amount of fruit comes from the scarcity of plantations and the lack of cultivation technology developments. (MTI)
