Chamber of Agriculture: the ice mitigation system prevented a lot of damage this year again
The national ice mitigation system prevented a lot of damage again this year: during the 169 days of this year’s defense period, which ended at the end of September, the generators had to be switched on for a total of 94 days – an average of four days a week, the National Chamber of Agriculture (NAK) told MTI on Tuesday. –
The system that pushes silver iodide into the clouds from nearly a thousand parts of the country protected not only agriculture but also residential, industrial, government facilities, real estate and movables. Due to the operation of the system, only ice grain or pea-sized ice fell during the passage of hailstorms.
