Agricultural Chamber: pear yields will be 15 percent more this year
According to the preliminary data, pear yields will be 15 percent more ie 38 thousand tonnes this year. The quality seems to be good – the National Chamber of Agriculture (NAK) told MTI.
The announcement emphasized that this year, the harvest of the Vilmos pear started sooner, the harvest has already begun.
According to the data of the chamber, the annual yield of pears can be up to 40,000 tonnes in Hungary, while in the last decade the yield was around 33,000 tons on the basis of many years’ average. (MTI)
