The Hungarian government and the National Chamber of Agriculture (NAK) will save farmers in trouble, producers who have been rendered insolvent due to the bankrupt Bászna Gabona Zrt. can expect compensation – NAK emphasizes in its statement, which it sent to MTI after the president of the chamber, Zsolt Papp, discussed the case of producers damaged by Bászna Gabona Zrt. with government representatives on Wednesday.

Zsolt Papp emphasized: the Hungarian government – as in so many situations – now stands by Hungarian producers. Producers who have been in trouble due to Bászna Gabona Zrt. can expect compensation, and to this end, the president of the chamber is launching a broad information campaign among the affected farmers. The chamber’s staff is collecting data on producers harmed by Bászna Gabona Zrt., which the NAK will forward to the government. The president of the chamber stressed that no Hungarian farmer in our country who produces high-quality food honestly and with hard work should be harmed. This is guaranteed by the long-term, reliable cooperation between the Hungarian government and the NAK. Zsolt Papp added that farmers can always count on the government of Hungary and the National Chamber of Agriculture. The goal is to provide all the help and support that those who work hard to provide our daily bread every day will receive, he said.
