17 billion forints annually for the development of irrigation purposes in the 2020-2030 period
In order to achieve efficient and sustainable water management, the government will provide 17 billion forints of public funds annually for irrigation purposes every year between 2020 and 2030 – Győrffy Balázs, President of the National Chamber of Agriculture (NAK) said at a press conference in Budapest on Wednesday after discussing on water management issues and drilled wells with Áder János President.
According to him, at the meeting the parties agreed that one of the cornerstones of the existence and development of Hungarian agriculture is irrigation, which can only be achieved in a sustainable way. (MTI)
