Agricultural Innovation in Debrecen
Based on the experiences of the accredited food cluster of the University of Debrecen (DE), the development of education, research, innovation and agricultural and industrial development strategy was started at the Hajdú-Bihar county seat, which fits into the government’s ideas relating to the creation of national agricultural centers – Szilvássy Zoltán Rector told MTI.
The professor recalled that the Pharmapolis Innovative Food Industry Cluster was founded in 2009. Currently it has eighty members. In recent years – primarily on the organic and dairy markets – significant results have been achieved; the members of the cluster have appeared on the market with new products, based on the knowledge base and the contribution of the University of Debrecen.
