The Chamber of Agriculture: Friday’s cold front posed a major challenge to the national ice mitigation system
They explained that the generators were running continuously across the country, but extreme weather still caused hail in several places. The instruments of the National Meteorological Service registered 93 thousand lightnings in one day, half as many as in the whole year. The size of the supercells and the intensity of the precipitation were extraordinary, they also measured a record level of ice grain in the history of the ice mitigation system. (MTI)
