African swine fever: infected wild boars were found in Szabolcs-Szatmár-Bereg county
In Szabolcs-Szatmár-Bereg county, African swine fever (ASF) virus was found in a sample of a shot wild boar in the outskirts of Tiszavasvári. The laboratory of the National Food Chain Safety Office (Nébih) detected the virus.
They added that Nébih examined the samples on 6 December.
In the announcement, it was recalled that a shot wild boar was found in the outskirts of Tarcal, Borsod-Abaúj-Zemplén County, on 2 October 2 and it was found that the animal was infected with ASF. Subsequently, the national chief veterinarian declared this area infected. (MTI)
