The Dairy Product Council calls for a VAT cut
If the Value Added Tax on Hungarian milk products would be reduced to 5 percent from January 2016, the population would buy the cheaper Hungarian milk instead of the import milks that arrive to Hungary with VAT frauds – Mélykuti Tibor, chairman of the Dairy Product Council presented at the M1 news channel on Wednesday.
He added that the retail chains are the members of the Dairy Product Council and have agreed in writing that they will validate the VAT rate cut in consumer prices .The majority of the Hungarian consumers are price sensitive.
He believed that the road freight traffic control system (ekáer) is a great help in detecting and eliminating VAT frauds. (MTI)
