Untaxed Italian wines were found at a former air-raid shelter in Budapest
Several thousands bottles of Italian wines in a value of 22 million HUF were found at a former air-raid shelter in Budapest – the press Officer of the National Tax and Customs Authority told MTI on Thursday.
Suller György Attila told that the finance guards carried out excise checks in the nineteenth district of Budapest. At one of the sites they noticed a hidden entrance of an old air-raid shelter, covered with a sheet. They found 580 bottles of sparkling wines and 6,900 bottles of high-end wines without tax stamps and the certification of origin. The finance guards seized the goods. Their value exceeds 22 million HUF. The fine exceeds 1.3 million HUF. (MTI)
