The government and MKIK announced tax cooperation
The government and the Hungarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MKIK) have signed a new cooperation agreement in the field of taxation. According to the announcement on Monday, a package of measures will come into effect over the next three years that aims to reduce the tax and administrative burdens of small and medium-sized enterprises.
Elek Nagy, president of the MKIK, said that the chamber has prepared an analysis of the expected effects of the planned measures, and according to their calculations, the package could reduce the burdens of SMEs by more than 100 billion forints over three years. The reliefs will remain with businesses and will primarily focus on simplifying administrative obligations and making taxation processes more transparent.
The details will be worked out in the coming months, with the involvement of business interest groups.
