JYSK Hungary is celebrating the opening of its 100th store with a donation
At the end of October, the newest JYSK store will open in Debrecen, which will be their 100th store in Hungary. On the occasion of new store openings, the retail store chain organizes a charity campaign to support local communities every time. In connection with the 100th store, they are now supporting three NGOs in the total amount of HUF 1 million, which are selected with the involvement of customers and the general public. In the financial year 2023/2024, JYSK has already handed over five new stores, and by the end of 2024 – in addition to Debrecen – one more store will open according to the plans.
JYSK regularly opens new stores in Hungary: in the 2023/2024 financial year, the company has already opened one store each in Szarvas, Kispest, Bicske, and Várpalota. Most recently, a new department store was handed over in Váci út in Budapest at the end of August. This year’s sixth new store – which is also the 100th Hungarian JYSK store – will be waiting for customers in Debrecen from the end of October.
When designing the new stores, JYSK follows the 3.0 store concept. In the spirit of this, special attention is paid to energy efficiency, which is why, for example, the department stores get new LED lighting, and motion sensors are installed in the social rooms. Separate mattress studios are also set up in the stores, where customers can not only try the products, but also get advice from JYSK experts.
Next year, it will be 20 years since JYSK has been present in our country, and in recent decades the Danish company has become part of the lives of Hungarian people. This is why it is important for JYSK to support local communities. That’s why the retail chain connects store openings with a charity donation every time.
