Adobe: how consumers use generative AI
A new study from Adobe explores how consumers use generative AI to shop – and how they want to shop.

According to the study (based on Adobe Analytics data), more than half of US consumers surveyed have used generative AI and 58% say it has improved their online shopping experience. 52% say they would be likely to use generative AI tools when shopping for clothes and 71% believe that using generative AI to produce images of them wearing a product could increase their confidence before making a purchase. 66% of respondents want brands to use their purchase history or other data to better tailor the shopping experience to their needs. Respondents are most enthusiastic about the potential of generative AI to create websites that automatically filter products based on consumer needs (40%), design custom products (37%), summarise product reviews (37%), offer chatbot-based customer service (36%) and virtual personal shoppers to customise options (31%). //
