The “Give Joy” Christmas fundraiser campaign is organized by the Maltese Charity Service
The Hungarian Maltese Charity Service (MMSZ) is organizing its “Give joy” Christmas fundraiser campaign for the 21st time between 14 and 19 December (MMSZ) – the director of the Central Hungarian Region of MMSZ told M1 news channel on Thursday.
Molnár Tamás said that there are 165 stores around the country, and their 3500 activists are waiting for the donors; mostly they consume long-lasting food and sweets.
He said: According to their experience, 250 tonnes of food are gathered at a regional level during a campaign, from which activists will compile 12 thousand gift packages for the needy, large families, people with disabilities and homeless people in Pest county and in Budapest. At national level, the number of gift packages is 30-35 thousand – he added.
