Áder János: By 2050 we will need 50 percent more food and 30 percent more water
As a result of population growth, by 2050, fifty percent more food and 30 percent more water will be needed for almost 10 billion human kind – President Árder János said on Tuesday in Gödöllő, Pest County.
The Head of State, in his lecture called Climate Change and Water Crisis at St. Stephen’s University, sought to find out about where the world is going to be on climate change and increasing water use, and what options are available in the future to avoid major crises.
Áder János said that in the past ten years, record high temperatures have been measured, which means that the Earth is warming up. He added that one of the reasons for this is the increase in carbon dioxide concentration, which is a global task. (MTI)
