Phishers are trying to abuse the name of PENNY – warns the retail chain
A fake prize game in the name of PENNY is spreading on Facebook – the retail chain warns its customers. The fake profile operating as a phishing site uses the company’s logo without authorization, and informs users of false prizes in the name of PENNY Market Kft.
The company takes the necessary steps to protect its customers from further inconvenience, but also draws their attention to under no circumstances clicking on games advertised by fake profiles and not giving out their friends’ or their own confidential information in the hope of a promised prize. Furthermore, attention is drawn to the fact that PENNY under no circumstances asks for bank card details in exchange for participating in a prize draw.
Anyone interested can find out about the prize games organized by the company on the official websites, i.e. www.penny.hu and the official Facebook page.
