Szaloncukor is a traditional product of the Advent season. According to the overview of the National Chamber of Agrarian Economy, a Hungarian household buys an average of 1 kilo of brown sugar per year. Traditionally, the most popular are jelly, marzipan, coconut, caramel and chocolate cream.
