WLP is building an environmentally conscious and smart hall in Vecsés for one of the world’s largest suppliers of car parts
In 2023, WLP (Weerts Logistics Park) and RaktárAD, known for establishing the most modern warehouses across Europe and with a Belgian-Hungarian ownership background, launched their third investment in Hungary in Vecsés.
The customer occupying the largest area in the company group’s logistics park, built in an environmentally conscious spirit, is the Canadian-based Magna International Incorporation. The car parts supplier, which is present in almost 30 countries around the world, has found a common denominator and an ideal partner in the WLP-RaktárAD group, based on modern operating principles and prioritizing sustainability. The Vecsés investment of RaktárAD and Weerts Logistics Park (WLP), which has a Belgian-Hungarian ownership background, entered the next phase on November 8. At that time, the inauguration of the highest point of the construction took place, the so-called Bokrétaaavátó ceremony.
WLP is building a logistics and production plant on about 40,000 m2 for its big-name customer, which is ranked fourth in the world market for the production of car parts, all this in addition to the strictest systems of requirements, which prioritize protecting the peace of the residents of the area.
“In the next year, the country will make great strides in the European market in terms of industrial developments, to which the Weerts group must provide the most suitable answers. We have given our first big answer, and this is the Magna project.”
– says Lőrincz – Hadnagy Tibor, COO & Operations Manager of Had Consult Kft.
