Wizz Air UK receives regulatory approval to operate flights to the United States

Wizz Air UK has received the necessary permits to operate flights between the United Kingdom and the United States, the airline told MTI on Friday.

The airline had previously indicated that it had no plans to launch regular commercial flights to the USA.

At the same time, they note:

The permit now received is a significant success for the airline, which is the result of many months of preparations, regulatory coordination and operational planning result.

With the approvals, Wizz Air UK is ready to provide individual charter flights for European football teams and fans heading to the World Cup, as well as for tour operators organising group trips to the United States, they wrote.
