Wizz Air will launch four new flights from October
Wizz Air will launch four new flights in the autumn thanks to the expansion of the Budapest aircraft fleet: from October it will be directly accessible by plane to Genoa, Girona, Marrakech, and from December to Memmingen, the airline announced on Thursday to MTI.
In addition, Wizz Air is increasing the frequency of its flights on several popular routes, including Tel Aviv, Istanbul, Milan, Berlin, Madrid, Athens and Glasgow.
According to their announcement, as a result of the expansion, the airline’s capacity in Budapest in the winter season will increase by more than 30 percent compared to the same period of the previous year. As a result, Wizz Air’s market share increases by 41 percent, strengthening the airline’s market leading role in Hungary.
With the soon-to-be-expanded fleet in Budapest to 17, they will be able to transport a total of almost 7 million passengers to and from Budapest this year, they informed.
The announcement quoted Valeria Bragarenc, Wizz Air’s communications manager, who said that the continuous network expansion proves that the company is still committed to the Hungarian market.
