Wizz Air launches more flights from Budapest than ever before this winter
Wizz Air is providing more capacity than ever before on its flights departing from Budapest during the winter schedule period: it offers passengers 3.2 million seats, 8 percent more than a year ago, and launches flights to 59 destinations – the airline told MTI on Thursday.
According to the information, the Hungarian-based airline will operate more than 6,800 flights in the period until the last Sunday of March.

During the winter season, Wroclaw, Gdansk, Bilbao, Tallinn, Vilnius, Turin, Venice are also available, and from March, flights to Skopje will be offered again, and Billund will also be added to Wizz Air’s Budapest offer.
Wizz Air has been flying from the Hungarian capital since the summer of 2004, and the Hungarian market, including Budapest Liszt Ferenc International Airport, has been an important pillar of the airline’s growth strategy for the past 21 years.
As in the past, it is of paramount importance for the company to make flying available to more and more passengers in the future, they wrote, indicating that in the next summer schedule as well They are launching an offer that is tailored to the travel needs of Hungarians and provides greater capacity than last year.
According to its previous statement, the company’s revenue increased by almost 4 percent to 5.3 billion euros in the business year ending in March this year. Net profit fell to 213.9 million euros after 365.9 million euros in the previous year.
Wizz Air carried 62.8 million passengers in 2024.
