Wizz Air has already responded to the investigation launched into the delay
As we wrote about, the Budapest government office announced that it had launched an official audit against the airlines Ryanair, Wizz Air, SunExpress and Eurowings, after they experienced several significant delays in recent days. Wizz Air issued a statement in which it claims that it will always notify passengers about the status of their flight via the e-mail address and SMS provided during the reservation.
The airline also offers the option of rebooking the trip or refunding the ticket price or 120% of it in WIZZ points. However, passengers who did not purchase their tickets directly through the company’s own platforms, but through third-party agencies, may receive delayed information, as the airline will notify the travel agencies in this case.
The purpose of the investigation is to verify whether the airlines have complied with the provisions of the relevant EU regulation, which regulate the information and assistance to passengers. In its announcement, Wizz Air emphasized that it supports the work of the Budapest Capital Government Office in every way possible in order to successfully conduct the procedure.
