Wizz Air suspends flights to Tel Aviv and Amman until June 20
Due to the escalation of the situation in the Middle East and the closure of several airspaces in the region, Wizz Air has suspended flights to Tel Aviv and Amman until next Friday, June 20, and will redirect all its flights that would fly in the affected airspaces, the airline told MTI on Friday.
It was emphasized that the airline continues to monitor the region and the situation with the help of national, international, governmental and other security sources, and will then decide on the next steps with the safety of aviation and passengers in mind.
According to the information, Wizz Air is offering free rebooking, a full refund in WIZZ credits or the original form of payment to affected customers. Those who booked tickets with Wizz Air were notified by the airline via email and SMS, and further steps can be taken simply and conveniently in the Wizz Air mobile app.
In a statement, the airline asks passengers who booked through an online travel agency or other third party to contact them directly for a refund or rebooking on another flight.
