Wizz Air’s Budapest fleet expands to 19

With a new aircraft, Wizz Air’s Budapest fleet will expand to 19, thanks to which the airline will launch 5 new flights exclusively available on Wizz Air’s offer from the Hungarian capital, and will increase its flights on 6 routes – Wizz Air announced to MTI on Wednesday.

It was highlighted that two new destinations in Greece will also be available with Wizz Air from June:

The island of Kefalonia and the southern part of the Peloponnese peninsula, around Kalamata.

In Spain, a new flight to Menorca will also start in June.

The Bulgarian coast will also become directly accessible: from June, there will be two flights per week to Varna, and from the end of April, there will be four flights per week to Krakow.

In addition to the new flights, the airline’s capacity will also be expanded on 6 existing routes thanks to the 19th aircraft. More flights will be added to Antalya, Yerevan, Malaga, Malta, Târgu Mureș and Tallinn each week.

Wizz Air operates a fleet of 256 Airbus A320 and A321 aircraft, and the airline carried 63.4 million passengers in the 2025 financial year.

The company previously announced in December 2025 that its half-yearly report showed that its total revenue increased by 9 percent year-on-year to €3.342 billion. Its profit after tax increased by 2.6 percent to €323.5 million. Its operating profit increased by 25.8 percent to €432 million.
