Weerts Logistics Park has reached the highest point of its construction in Ebes
Weerts Logistics Park (WLP), a Belgian-Hungarian-owned logistics investment, has reached its highest point during construction in Ebesen. The project, which strengthens the company’s presence in the Hajdú-Bihar county, is scheduled to be completed in its entirety in 2026. In the first phase, a 22,000-square-meter hall is nearing completion.
Weerts Logistics Park, which is present in several European countries with high-tech logistics investments, is also active in Hungary. In the past six years, the company has erected more than 200,000 square meters of buildings in the country, creating more than 1,000 jobs directly and about 4,000 jobs indirectly, and hosting more than 150 domestic businesses.
The investment is located in the immediate vicinity of Debrecen, in Ebes, in a strategic location, close to the Debrecen airport, railway station, the BMW factory under construction and the M35 highway. This location is ideal for serving logistics needs and contributes greatly to the development of the local economic ecosystem.
The project is implemented by HUR One Kft., which purchased the more than 12-hectare area from the municipality in July 2022. Since then, the investment has reached several significant milestones, including the groundbreaking in March and the current culmination celebration.
