Waberer’s group offered to help with flood control
The Waberer’s group offered part of its logistics and transportation capacities to the Metropolitan Disaster Management Directorate for flood protection, the company told MTI on Thursday.
According to their announcement, the Waberer’s group will provide the Metropolitan Disaster Management Directorate with 5 semi-trailer trucks and 3 trucks, with trained drivers for both, during the entire period of flood protection preparedness along the Danube. In addition, a logistics manager helps with the professional management of the vehicles and drivers, and the shipping company also offered 24 pallets of 0.5 liter non-carbonated mineral water, 300 sweaters and 540 pairs of cowhide gloves.
They also mentioned that Waberer’s colleagues are also participating in the BDPST collaboration, and that more than 34 workers have been helping flood defenses in different locations in different locations in the coordination of the Ecumenical Relief Organization since September 17.
