The Ministry of Rural Development proposes a VAT reduction
The Ministry of Rural Development submits its VAT cut proposal in mid-March – the Magyar Hírlap informs. The burden would be reduced in case of several products, but they does not propose the unified VAT rate decrease for food and agricultural products. The ministry hopes that the Government will adopt its resolution.
“The Value Added Tax reduction would be an important governmental step. For example, it would help to repress black economy. I really hope that our efforts will be crowned with success, and the government accepts the ministry's draft “- Czerván György, Minister of State for the Ministry of Rural Development, responsible for agri-management told Magyar Hírlap.
