Problems were found at nearly half of the honey inspections
In Hungary, the authorities found problems at nearly half of the honey inspections. The honeys containing antibiotics and the fake honeys are a serious problem.
Only seventeen percent of the produced honey is consumed by the Hungarian costumers. 1-1 is sold to retailers and industrial users. The domestic consumption is around 6 thousand tons per year, meaning only 60 decagramme. In Hungary, 80 percent of honey is exported, mainly to Germany, Italy, France and to Great Britain – reports penzcentrum.hu.
