Visit Hungary will organize the tourism industry summit again in 2026

This year’s Tourism Summit 2025, which was one of the most important professional events in the tourism industry, has concluded; Visit Hungary will also organize the industry summit in 2026 – the organizer Visit Hungary told MTI on Thursday.

The two-day conference focused on sustainability, responsible travel and ethical innovation.

The final day presented the sustainable tourism a publication summarizing fifty best Hungarian practices, which was prepared in cooperation with Visit Hungary and Sustainia in Copenhagen and which places our country on the emotional map of environmentally conscious travelers. They also presented the pioneering development that measures the ecological footprint of baths and bathers.

The conference was organized in Budapest to provide a space for learning, inspiration and professional exchange of ideas – said Olivér Csendes, CEO of Visit Hungary, on the closing day of the professional summit, according to the announcement. Trust is the currency of the tourism industry: trust between travelers and destinations, between the public and private sectors, and between people and technology – he added.

“The Tourism Summit is not an event, but a process. That is why we will continue in 2026 – with new topics and with the aim of Hungary remaining at the forefront of future-oriented and sustainable tourism”
