The Visa card spendings amounted to 2,000 billion euros in Europe
The value of purchases by Visa cards totaled 2,000 billion euros in Europe, according to the datas of the financial year ended in September 2013. The value of spendings at the trader terminals (POS) increased by 8.5 percent – Kiss Ede, regional manager of Visa Europe said at a press conference on Wednesday in Budapest.
He said that in Hungary the number of Visa card transactions increased by 10.6 percent, while the number of POS transactions increased by 13.9 percent.
The Visa did not disclose separate financial informations on Hungary. The Area Manager, however, said that the business card purchases rose by 16.9 percent in Hungary, where 1.3 million Visa cards are in circulation. (MTI)
