The global market should not worry about the lack of wheat

The rapid increase of wheat prices caused concerns, but the stocks are relatively abundant – said the analysts of the London-based Economist Intelligence Unit (EIU).

In early August, wheat cost 70 percent more, than in the end of June. The rising prices mainly reflected the demand-supply conditions, due to the weather problems in Russia and at other large producers. Analysts are not afraid, that the food price spiral of 2007 and 2008 will return, when global food prices rose an average of 30-30 percent in both years. They believe the slowdown of global growth will "spray down the foam off commodity prices." – reports privatbankar.hu.
