More than two-thirds of the world's seized counterfeit products are from China
Fake eggs, fake iPhones, fake IKEA store – almost everything is copied in China. 67 percent of the world’s counterfeit goods derives from there – South China Morning Post writes.
The South China Morning Post analyzed the customs statistics on China and figured out that between 2008 and 2010, approximately two-thirds of the seized counterfeit goods all over the world came from the East Asian country. According to the U.S. customs office, this rate is 87 percent in the U.S.A. and according to EU statistics, 74 percent of the seized counterfeit goods came from China. (MTI, Szerencsi Ágnes)
