Half of the world’s asparagus production is provided by China
Asparagus is practically available on 365 days of the year in China, yet only half of the population knows it – magyarmezogazdasag.hu wrote. Half of the world’s total asparagus production comes from China, and they are working with the widest possible range of technologies – was said at the second International Asparagus Day held in Cesena, Italy.
The German Gemüse professional magazine published an interesting report that reveals, among other things, that more than 900,000 tons of asparagus are harvested across China, which is about half of the world’s production. (magyarmezogazdasag.hu, Tömpe Anna)
