Rural hotels pulled the national hotel performance
The national hotel performance was determined by the increase in turnover in the rural hotels in January for the first time for many years, while the performance of the capital's hotels fell – according to the report compiled by the Hungarian Association of Hotels and Restaurants.
The total gross turnover of the rural hotels was 6.8 percent, their room revenues increased by 8.5 percent in January, while in the capital the total turnover increased by 0.9 percent and room revenues increased by 0.8 percent, compared to january 2015. The total gross turnover of the Hungarian hotels was 3.6 percent higher than a year ago.
