The key objective of rural development will be a build-up Short Food Supply Chains
One of the priorities of rural development is the establishment of Short Food Supply Chains in the EU budgetary period between 2014-2020, which means the reduction of the distance between the local markets, the local producers and the local consumers – Kis Zoltán, leader of the Rural Programs’ Division of the Ministry of Rural Development highlighted.
Kis Zoltán in his lecture held in the scope of the “Community Development in Rural Development” full day conference of the Hungarian National Rural Network and took place in Békés on Friday told that the development of self-sustaining communities and regions is a key element of retaining the rural population and to prevents jobs in these areas.
