The minister emphasized: I want it to be good to live in the countryside, to prosper, so that generations can pass on knowledge to each other and be equipped with the most modern knowledge. He added that Mosonmagyaróvár and its region have now taken another step in this regard with the cooperation of a prosperous company and a university, with the service hall also operating as a training workshop for students of Széchenyi István University. The partnership established with Széchenyi István University sends the message that the future can only be built together, with the cooperation of companies and universities. This type of connection ensures that not only the economy in the region, but also the future pool of professionals is strengthened – he said.
István Nagy emphasized that the expansion of Waberer’s repair shop is simultaneously a symbol of the company’s dynamism, continuous development and innovation
He said that as part of the investment, a repair shop, a service building, a tire repair shop and a vehicle wash were built and expanded, which shows that the supporting industry that ensures road freight transport is constantly strengthening. This is key in every sector, from food supply to serving export markets – he added. The investment of almost one billion forints serves both the safe operation of the fleet of more than three thousand vehicles and the training of future professionals – he said. Last year, about 700 tractor units and 2,100 semi-trailers were serviced. The development will more than double the current capacity and, according to plans, about ten thousand vehicles will visit the base annually. István Nagy also mentioned that Hungarian vocational training is performing well on a global level. Experience shows that there is an increasing demand from companies to get involved in vocational training. He added that the complex training system, expertise and innovation make young people a valuable and competitive workforce. Zsolt Barna, President and CEO of Waberer’s International, said that the importance of Mosonmagyaróvár lies in the fact that the Austrian and Slovak borders are close, which means that vehicles do not have to go to Budapest unnecessarily for servicing or replacement. This saves the company time and costs, and also increases sustainability by reducing the emissions of the vehicles. György Szucsány, the real estate development director of Waberer’s group, said that as a continuation of the investment, the current four-hectare area will be expanded by another two hectares, where offices, social rooms, parking lots and a warehouse will also help increase their capacities. According to a statement from Waberer’s, the team of professionals at the Mosonmagyaróvár workshop, which opened in 2005, will be expanded from the previous 12 people to 25 in the coming period.
