In emergency, the government supports donations with special tax exemptions
The already favorable tax rules for donation have been overridden by the coronavirus pandemic. In the current situation, there are even more exemptions and even more discounts. Hungary supports donors throughout Europe by exemplary means, with all possible means and favorable tax conditions – Izer Norbert State Secretary for Taxation of the Ministry of Finance, informed MTI.
At the time of the coronavirus pandemic, it is also worth donating from a tax point of view, the Secretary of State pointed out. The state uses favorable tax rules to help those who provide free assistance to those in danger in order to prevent and mitigate the consequences of the pandemic during this period, he explained.
